WHAT'S NEW.........
Yes we are still going strong. People were having trouble contacting me at the gmail. So now you can contact me at my original [email protected]
Please feel free to contact me any time. Also we are having trouble with my TED video I made years ago. Youtube deleted it because it was done by a friend and he deleted all his video's so mine went with it. I wil try to get it up again. Here's to you.....Stay strong.
I have been using the group Face Book and a Face Book page...all under the same name and with a red Chili. It just seems to be an easier and faster way to get answers to the questions I am asked. I have been putting up the many projects I do to keep busy. But not just to keep busy . Although now that I am officially retired and just can not work any more ...I keep busy.
We can not just sit around and feel sorry for ourselves. We need to keep busy. For our peace of mind and for our health. I do a lot of projects. The rug making has been great for exercising my hands and arms. It has also helped with keeping my TED eye's focused. My eye's tend to wander. I make felt items for my grandchildren...also good for the eye's and hands. Everything I do is for a reason.
I continue to have my GD Coffee Breaks and the Cookie Breaks. Although now that I am back living in my small home town the Breaks are serving another purpose. I have the GD Cookie Breaks to teach children and yes adults about our disease. It has also helped the kids understand about other kids that have a disease. We have a Downs girl that comes and the kids have really enjoyed meeting her. Needless to say she has a blast. So, don't think of just haveing a "Support" group meeting. I personally hate that. But a fun time and a learning tool for you and others. Try it. It is also a great thing to do instead of a regular Birthday Party. We color my cartoons and everybody get's crayons and gets to ask questions. I am in the process of making up some informative games to play also. Check me out on my page on Face Book. You will find pictures and other fun stuff.
Let's kick this Graves' Disease to the curb.
