WHAT LITTLE I KNOW
This page has pages from my book "What Little I Know About Graves' Disease". You will find poems, fun stuff to do and my personal thoughts. My book is NOT a typical book about Graves' Disease. It is a book written on my worst days and some of my best days with this disease. If you have Graves' Disease, you may be able to relate to what I wrote. I have had people tell me this is exactly how they felt. Other books may tell you about symptoms and lab numbers. But, this book tells how we really feel. We know what the symptoms are. Sometimes is is hard for us to put into words what we are feeling inside. You know that helpless lost feeling. Somethings have to be spelled out to our friends and family. They know we don't feel good, but they don't know what that not feeling good is. It is an ugly feeling feeling.
My husband even wrote a page for my book. I did not know he was feeling like he was till I saw what he wrote about me. that was an eye opener. As open as we are with each other, I did not know how he felt. He also did not really know how I was feeling till he saw what I wrote. One women put the page Marty wrote next to her husbands breakfast plate. He could not talk, he only nodded.
