Chris, who was one of my eye doctors sent this suggestion.
Remember to elevate the head of your bed and lower your salt intake to reduce eye swelling. Some of his patients do this before a big event, ect. Those of us that have been doing this for awhile forget that newbies may not know this little trick. Mine is elevated all the time, plus I use a humidifier every night and a face mask. Only difference is I use pillows, as it ws not tha comfortable for my husband. Try it, you maybe surprised. A lady I know has a husband with TED. She told me it helped her with puffy eyes and she does not have TED.
Mary, who had RAI done 35 years ago, has had her Thyroid grow back. She is now taking all kinds of test to figure it out. She was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them. See, the more we know about this disease the more we don't know.
Michelle, has told me a success story that will warm your hearts. She thinks more of these stories should be shared. She has a 13 year old boy who has had Graves' Disease since he was two years old. He has had many ups and downs. Still has some eye problems. But, he is doing well now and enjoying life a little more like he should. I am so Happy for him and his family. I know how hard this is to live with. Can you imagine how hard it was for this boy? His family must have fault helpless. Are there any teens out there? We need to give them some hope. Thank you for sharing Michelle. Give that boy a big Hug....well done.
The input and emails I recieved yesterday was the best BD present. So many of you were so encourageing. I was reminded of small things some of us do to make our life easier. I was also reminded about Thanking friends and family who have not given up on us. So, please say "Thank You" to that special person (s) who is there for you. Just give them a big HUG and say "Thank You". We all need a hug like that and so do they. My girls are not here so I am sending them a Hug and Thank you.
Thank You...Nikki, Corina, Sharmaine, Chaline and a special Big hug to my Angelina and Kiyana. Ok, can't forget my boys...Esai, Isidro, Ethen and ofcourse Jayden. The biggest to my loving husband Marty. What would I have done without you??? Sorry gang..AS the song goes..."It's crying time again" Be back later.
